Is "Column79" the column you are adding or something that is giving problems during the refresh? Can you click on "Edit Queries", then right-click the query, select "Advanced Editor" to view the columns used in the query? Is Column79 referenced in there? If so, can you remove it if it is unnecessary and then try to refresh?
Thanks,
Sam Lester (MSFT)
Hi Peter, the basic steps are:
1. Import .xlsx file into Power BI Desktop using "Get Data"
2. Update the spreadsheet, add another column
3. Back in Power BI Desktop, click on the Refresh button
This will load the new column into the data model in PBI Desktop.
If you are doing this and hitting an error, please provide the exact steps and error message that you are receiving.
Thanks,
Sam Lester (MSFT)
