Errors during data refresh

Hi,

I am building a report and I get 'queries contained errors' message each time I do a refresh from Power BI Desktop.

When I go to the PQE and delete the Query Errors table, it doesn't impact anything. The report works normally and all the source data is shown correctly.

What's with the errors and how can I see what those errors are? Although it doesn't affect anything(at least not as far as I can tell), I am uncomfortable with this irritant and would like to fix it for good.

Any advice?

Hi @Enigma ,

As your posted picture shows, you can find the errors in the Error table for each step.

In power query-> "remove rows" section, click remove errors and check if error disappeared.

If the error table is blank when there are no errors in the query, but errors occur when the query results are loaded into the data model:

  • unique key values in Power Query (case sensitive), that are not unique when loading (case insensitive),
  • numbers with fractions in a column with data type Int64.Type (Whole Number),
  • etcetera.

You can also refer these simliar issues:

  1. Error loading table but query editor shows no error rows
  2. error message after building query returns zero rows in the error query....

@Enigma Click the "View errors" link to view the errors. Deleting the errors doesn't do anything if you don't fix the errors. When you view errors, scroll through the columns until you find the Error. Click on the error. Do what it tells you to do to fix it.
