Error query can only go through 2 levels of analysis services datasources

hi,

This is the first time i see this error and don't understand what can i do to fixit

First i have a file with my data, that i post it online

Second i go get that first file and add it the formulas i want to use and post it online

Then i go and get the second file online to add the reports

On my first file i have:

Table A

Table B

Table C

On my second file i have:

First file i went to get online and my formulas

On my third file i get my second file from the online and start to create my reports.

The error came when i change the  model to DirectQuery because i want to change for example the order of my data.

This error never occorred before.

Can someone please tell me whats appening?

Thanks

Hi @TiagoV46

Can you share a screenshot of the error message?   We can better understand the problem and help you. Please remove any sensitive data in advance.

Here are my suggestions:

  • If your report is based on nested queries or multiple levels of data access, try to simplify the query. The DirectQuery schema may have limitations on the number of nested levels it can handle.
  • Verify that the data source is supported in DirectQuery mode

The following document may help you: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-directquery-about#directquery-limita...
