Error-Object reference not set to an instance of an object
My Dataset geting successful refresh on Power BI Service. When I download this Pbix file and try to refresh locally it gives'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' error.
I can read data in edit query but when try to apply its again gave 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'
I even entered all credencials again after clearing cache

Go to Transform Data, open the query, and check the last few Applied Steps remove or fix the step causing the issue (especially type changes or custom columns). If needed, wrap the step using null After that, clear cache and refresh again.

The error “Object reference not set to an instance of an object” refers to a Desktop engine / environment mismatch, not a data or credentials problem.
Please try below things to fix the issue.
1. Uninstall Power BI Desktop completely. Download latest version (standalone application, not app store application) from below link.
https://www.microsoft.com/power-bi/desktop
Restart machine. Open PBIX --> Refresh
2. Open Power BI Desktop. File --> Options and settings --> Options. Preview features. Enable below things.
a. Enhanced metadata
b. New Model authoring
c. DirectQuery improvementsRestart Power BI Desktop
3. Clear local cache, and close Power BI Desktop. Restart machine. Reopen PBIX --> Refresh
4. Identify the source used in Service (check Dataset --> Settings --> Data source). Install the gateway-related drivers versions locally.
5. File --> Options --> Privacy. Select Ignore privacy levels. Refresh again
