Enterprise Deployment Best Practices

Hi All,

There is not forum dedicated to this topic so I decided to post here. 

For those of you who have an enterprise deployment, what is your goverance model? In terms of responsibilities where do you draw the line for what you (IT or Analytics group) is reponsible for and what the business user is responosible for.

I find with the ubiqutousness of PBI you could just roll it out and have a free for all but I think value would be lost and certainly accuracy will be sacrificed.  

What is your self service model? Are your business users developing data models? It could be me being old school but it seems to me, business users should be working on more valuable aspects of their job while we give them all of the data and measures needed to perofrm their job well.

Sorry if this is a sprawling question. I am looking for any best practices for an enterpise deployment.
