Encountering "M engine error" when loading data from GA4 2.0 (beta) connector.

I encounter a systematic problem while trying to load GA4 data using the native Google Analytics connector (2.0).
Data transformation and loading into Power Query works flawlessly, however, when applying the changes in and loading the table into PBI I encounter the following load error:

I have tried with combinations of different dimensions and measures, and nothing seems to work.

My question is whether this is something due to the connector being in beta or if it is something on my end (and of course if someone has encountered something similar and resolved the issue). I lean towards the latter since it makes no sense to make the beta available if you cannot even load a single measure from GA4 for visualisation.

Hi @Lawliim Seems like the 2.0 beta connector is still presenting some issues. I hope it'll be fixed soon but since the GA4 connector was developed it's always presented some problems. I had issues many times with my connection or my data. As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party tool. I've tried windsor.ai, supemetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options.

So @Anonymous your understanding is that this will be solved and at some point, the connector will work with GA4?  It was removed from the roadmap, reading many posts the community seems to think that Microsoft/PowerBI just will not support GA4?

HI @Lawliim,

It seems like a known issue that submit by other users when you use Google Analytics connector to getting data from GA4. Power bi teams are working on it and I will update here if any ETA.
