Hi,
We are using a Matrix in PowerBI for the analysis of the results.
We are also comparing different years with each other.
How can i remove these empty columns? I tried many methods but nothing helped. Can you help me to solve this issue?
I have a target for 2021, but not for 2019 and 2020. I only want to show the actuals 'green columns' of these years to compare.
This is the setup of the report below:
Is there someone who can help me with a solution?
Hi, @Dubock
Have you tried the above methods, but none of them worked? According to your description, you use multiple values in the matrix, and what you want to delete is neither a complete row nor a complete column, but only a part of the column. This is indeed a problem. Why don't you show ‘remaaning revenue’ separately?
If you don’t mind, you can drag the unnecessary columns directly in the matrix to make it the smallest, which can achieve a similar delete effect.
You can also try to modify "realized" and "target" measures to make them blank in 2019 and 2020, and then write a measure and put it in the filterpane to control the display when these two measures are not blank.
If it doesn’t solve your problem, please feel free to ask me.
Best Regards
Janey Guo

Hi,
Is there anyone who can help me to solve the issue?
@Dubock ,
You can also try to utilize Visual Level Filter by applying some condition like below:
For Target field --> is not blank
For Revenue --> is not blank AND greater than 0.
Hi Thareem,
thank you for the fast response. This was one of the solutions i tried but didn't solved the issue. Do you have an another idea?
@Dubock , Try to click on any column under Row field of Matrics then Uncheck the "Show item with no data". So it will remove all blank data from your matrics.
