ah, thanks Anonymous , this appears to be the case therefore I can't change it.
If it's of any use for others this is the work around I have found (although clearly not ideal). I was able to save the datamodel to my desktop and then open it in the desktop app. This helps me explore the datamodel and see the formulas if I need to do that. I can also download the visuals in another file then copy and past across to recreate my original report. It's not ideal but it appears to work.
Hi LauraH ,
It works fine for me through my tests. Did you have the original file in live connection connection mode and then converted to direct query connection mode? If so there is no way to convert to import mode again.
