Hi all,
I am trying to create a table that only contains measures.
Process:
1) Enter Data
2) Move Measures to new table, lets call it "Table1"
3) Delete column in Table 1.
4) Final output is a measures group table.
Recently, received this error meassage:
Is there changes to the powerbi setting that doesn't allow me to delete columns of a table and leave it empty?

Hidayat

Sorry, I somehow missed that you deleted the column in the Measure Table, which is off course not used in the measures themselves. However, in the video you linked to, he is not deleting the column, but hiding it.
Hi @Anonymous,
a measure uses the values of columns to calculate values, if you delete the columns a measure is using for calculation, the measure will stop working.
A measure can reference a column/table without any rows, but the columns must exist.
Cheers,
Sturla
Hi @sturlaws ,
Would that mean a measure group is no longer possible today?

Hi @sturlaws ,
No worries, somehow i missed the part to hide the column.
I have been deleting columns all these while but have no issues.
It is possible that the error started to surface after the release of preview metadata features.
Stay safe!

Hidayat
