Dynamically change the table based on slicer selection.

Hi Team,

I have 2 Tables(Profit and Loss)which has same set of columns.
I have a slicer which has option to select : 1)Profit
2)Loss
If profit is selected in the slicer.
All my visuals should get the fields from Table : Profit

If Loss is selected in the slicer.
All my visuals should get the fields from Table : Loss.

Any idea or any link how can i go.
Thanks in advance !

You can create a separate table for the slicer using:

Metric = {"Profit", "Loss"}

Then create a measure along the lines of:

metric measure = IF(SELECTEDVALUE(Metric[Value]) = "Profit", [Sum Profit], [Sum loss])

where the sums follow this pattern:

Sum Profit = CALCULATE (SUM(Table[Value]), FILTER(Table, Table[Type] = "Profit"))

where 'Table' is the fact table and 'Table'[Type] is the field which establishes the type for the values.

Thanks for the reply.

Here i am not looking for sum and filter the column.

I am trying to select the Table based on the value selected in slicer.

i have more number of pages and many visuals across all pages.

All visuals and pages should point to the table based on slicer selection.

@ShreyasSB12 Hi, one way of achieving this is through bookmarks. Please refer to the below pbix file.
Hope it helps.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes bookmark will work.

But i have more number of pages and many visuals across all pages.

So book mark will be tough to handle.
