Dynamic filter

Hello,
I am new to PowerBi and I’m struggling with the following issue.

I would like to add a dynamic filter to one visualization based on the selection that I make in other filters or in the drill-down function.

In the dashboard I have the visualization below that represents the total sales of all Point Of Sale (POS) of different brands in the specific Region for the FY and FY-1 and I have also the hierarchical filter that allows me to select one Region or one of the level below the Region, e.g. City (the visualization can be filtered also using the drill-down function like shown below).

In the visualization I would like to display the values only if there are more than 3 brands and more than 5 Point of Sales (POS). The problem is that the count of Brands and POS should be made coherently with the filter/drill-down I apply  (i.e. if I’m not filtering or drilling-down, the count should be made within each specific Region. Once I drill “Lombardia” or select “Bergamo”, “Brescia” and “Milano”, I want the count being made within each specific city - Bergamo, Brescia and Milano).

How can I do that? Please, comment the post if you need further explanation.

Thank you

Hi @Matt93,

=> In the visualization I would like to display the values only if there are more than 3 brands and more than 5 Point of Sales (POS).

What are the brands and the Point of Sales? Please share us the logic so that we can get the 3 brands and 5 Point of Sales.

Also if it is possible, please share us your pbix file with OneDrive or Google Drive. Otherwise, share us some sample data which we can copy and paste directly and the corresponding expected result. So that we can get the right direction and make some proper tests.

Thanks,
Xi Jin.

Hi @v-xjiin-msft,

Please find below the pbix and dataset.

pbix - https://1drv.ms/u/s!ApHpfK1vm4RqgRBoEmgONLljyin4

dataset - https://1drv.ms/x/s!ApHpfK1vm4RqgRFl3FdX07mzHDIY

The logic behind is that we have a certain number of Brands (let's imagine they are companies) and each Brand has a certain number of Point of Sales (i.e. shops) that will generate revenues every month. In order to avoid disclosure of data of other brands, we would like to set a filter for each location (Region, City, etc. depending on what is selected) which allow the display of data only if in that specific location there are at least 3 different Brands and 5 different POS.

Thank you for your help.

Hi @Matt93,

Are these two tables joined?

Hi @Anonymous,

Yes they are.
