Dynamic X-axis using SQL Server analysis service database (Live)

Just want to confirm with experts.

Hope, Dynamically change the X-axis isn't possible so for when the data come from SQL Server analysis service database in live connection.

Is there any workaround to attain this?

@SivaMani

If you have created bridge table as described in the following similar thread in your SSAS database, you can dynamically change X-axis in the chart after creating required measures.

@Anonymous,

Thank you for your reply.

Since I'm using the Live connection. It has some limitations like will not be able to create calculated columns and tables.

Any other way to attain this?

@SivaMani

Thus I recommend you create these bridge tables in SSAS source rather than in Power BI Desktop, then create measures in Power BI Desktop.

There is no other workaround in this case unless you use import mode to connect to SSAS.

Lydia
