Dynamic Text Cards

Hi All, 

I am attempting to create dynamic text cards to have either "Actual" or "Budget" in the cards. 

In my data I have a column MonthHeader that has both of these fields. Now I wanted it to select the value based on the months. In another column is Period where I store the date values. So I need a scorecard to look at the month and then choose the field in MonthHeader

Is this possible?

Download sample PBIX file

You need to supply more information to get an accurate answer.  Please always supply some sample data.  I don't know what is in your Period column.  Real dates?  Month names as text?

I'm also not clear on how the Actual/Budget column relates to months.  Each month is either Actual or Budget?  You don't have Actualand Budget figures for every month?

You could try this measure which works with the sample data in my PBIX above.

Measure = CALCULATE(MIN('Table'[MonthHeader]), FILTER(ALL('Table'), MONTH('Table'[Period]) = MONTH(SELECTEDVALUE('Table'[Period]))))
