Dynamic M Query Parameter Cannot Refresh From Slicer

Hi all,

I need to import data from Python Script. I have done the following steps:

1. Create a parameter for the script in Advanced Editor mode.

2. Run the script and successfully load the data. The data is then shown in a table in Report view.

3. Create table in Direct Query mode and bind the column to parameter in the script.

4. Create the sclicer to choose value in the table in step 3. The value is already bound to the parameter.

However, after choosing value in the slicer, I notice that the python script runs, but the data in the table in step 2 does not update. The only way for the data to be updated is by manually editting the Current Value of the parameter in Power Query Editor.

Can anyone please tell me how to update the parameter from the slicer? I have been stuck in this step for a while, though I tried to search for relevant solutions many times. Thank you in advance.

Hi Stephen, thanks for your reply. I cannot find "Dynamic M Query Parameters" in Options setting. The only option related to parameters is "Field parameters". Can you tell me how to find Dynamic M Query Parameters option check box?
