Hi!
I have some troubles with duplicating/ copying a column and adding filters. Im trying to filter out certain measurements from the columns that i want e.g. KG, HRS etc. but when unchecking in the filtering box it affects the origninal column aswell.
how do i solve this from not happening in the original column?

In power query, are you creating a new column in the table by duplicating one of the columns?
If you filter any column in that table, the whole table is filtered.
Or are you creating a new table?
Hi, @willielo,
where are you doing this? In Power BI Desktop or Transform data/Power Query?
If you are in Power BI Desktop and duplicate a column within a table, a filter on a column will affect which rows are shown, so you will not be able to choose different values in the original and the duplicate column.
Cheers,
Sturla

Hi! thanks for the responds!
I am inside the transform data/power query when doing this. Do you need to use a certain function to not affect the original column when duplicating inside transform data/power query?
