Duplicate Calculated Column with Different Percentage Rates

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone can help with this quandary...

I'm building a PowerBI model that shows how current and forecast rents compare against a range of comparators - earnings, average area rents etc. dependent on a range of CPI figures. The end user would like to be able to select the CPI figure to see the results.

I have a database that looks similar to this:

Property IDCurrent RentCPI RateForecast RentAverage Area RentAverage Rent Var.EarningsEarnings Var.
House A£75.002%£76.50£80.00-5%£150.00-96%
House B£100.002%£102.00£110.00-8%£160.00-57%
House C£125.002%£127.50£140.00-10%£170.00-33%

The issue I have is:

  • Every column after the CPI rate is calculated
  • There are 50 calculated columns (to accommodate the range of comparators and descriptors)
  • All calculations are based on the CPI figure
  • I need to create several iterations of the table to accommodate different CPI rates (from 1% to 10%)

Is there a way I can copy a base table, maintain the calculated columns but amend the CPI figure for each table?

If so, my intention is to join the tables using the UNION function.

Thanks

Hi @Saes ,

Sorry I'm not very clear about your target. Would you please give a example to explain it more?
