I am new to PowerBI but I have been seeing its possibilities from some IT folks at my organization. I have looked through the forums for days but I can't seem to find my exact question, so I ask for your patience and understanding if I am asking a duplicate question.
Below is a fictitious version of what I'm trying to create.
I need to send a link to several colleagues to ask for their input.
-I will have the days of the week pre-populated in each of the apropriate column in a drop-down menu format (this will eliminate misspellings and other erroneous errors).
-Team members will fill in their name then select their favorite days of the week from the menu.
-They will submit it back to me to aggregate the data to see who answered what.
-This is not anonymous and needs to be tied to the name that they provide.
Any advice or links to this topic would help. I can create the dropdown menu portion and have accomplished the task in SmartSheet, Excel, and even Acrobat; but with those methods, I would receive 100 individual emails to manually aggregate...I know there has to be a better way.
If someone needs to see the actual data, here is a link to the PDF form that the users are going to receive;

I am only using a PDF as it is the only way I have one getting a simple one-page form for folks to fill out. AND I like using dropdown menus as that tends to reduce errors and makes it even easier; they fill in their name, they make their selections, and then they save it and email the form to the coordinator.
I'm not so concerned with the tiny details of how it should look when receiving the aggregated results, I just need to know how to set up the form to record and compile the results so that I can see and use the input data, and then maybe customize the results page. I hope this makes it more clear.
Hi Binbinyu,
Thank you for your reply. Please allow me to clarify and attach a screenshot;
However, there may be a cleaner way to display the results...I wouldn't care if each recipient's response got its own line. It would be a much wider results screen, but it would all be there;
I know that I could probably manage the various output options if I knew better how to direct the responses to the results screen, but that's still a process I don't understand. Hopefully you have a better idea of what I'm looking for and can guide me. Basically put, I need to ask people to respond and indicate multiple responses (from a drop-down menu...I'm trying to make it as simple as possible for the end user), and then I need to be able to retrieve that data to see their responses and aggregate that feedback. I realize it's a simple task (on paper...lol), but when you get a database involved, it's not nearly as straightforward...so thank you so much for your insight and expertise! 🙂
Hi @Anonymous ,
I'm a little confused about your needs, Could you please explain them further? It would be good to provide a screenshot of the results you are expecting and desensitized example data.
Thanks for your efforts & time in advance.
