Drill down on visual not drilling other visuals on the same page

Hello There,

This is my third major report using PowerBI and I thought I had most of what I needed figured out, I was wrong!

I have 3 visuals on my first page of the report with the same filters, legend and axis (axis is a hierarchy that they all share). 

I click the drill down arrow and click one of the drill down options but it only drills down the chart I have selected and the other charts only filter by that top level hierarchy seletion, instead of drilling down. 

So I have a VP-Account Hierarchy..

Chart 1, I select drill down arrow, then click VP of West and it opens up all the accounts under VP West. Chart 2 only filters to the VP West top level hierarchy and removed the East and North from view, the Chart 3 does the same as CChart 2.

I need all charts to drill down at the level (VP) I select and go to the accounts. 

Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong or how to remedy. I greatly apprecciate it!

Hi @Anonymous ,

As per my knowledge, the drill down arrow on a chart works for a particular chart on the tab. It won't drill down other charts.

If I understood your requirement wrong, try sharing some screen-shots.

Should I just use a slicer then to drill down all charts at the same way or what would be the best option for doing that?

@Anonymous as @Pragati11 mentioned, all the charts will not drill down to the next level, the slicer is not for drilling down, it is to filter all the visuals if you requirement is filter all the visuals then yes, the slicer is the way to go. Do you have to ask yourself what you want to achieve?

My Goal is to have all visuals drop down to the same hierarchy at the same time. So I want all the visuals to drill down simultaneously. Would I have to create a bookmark to enable this goal?

Did you try using Hierarchy Slicer in Power BI?

@Anonymous It is a tough task, and having hierarchy in the slicer will not do the job. Yes, bookmarks can do it, but you have to create a bookmark for each hierarchy level and go to the respective bookmark page based on the level you are in the hierarchy. Again, it is not straight forward, having said that, it can be achieved will workaround using a bookmark.
