Double column Matrix with customized values depending on Year

Does anyone know how to arrange a matrix to allow for values to be customised in the arrangement required to show date over multiple time periods with the data needed?

For example actuals for the past, actuals, forecast and total for present and forecast for the future. This would mean that there are values for each column instead of having unneccessary columns which are the same in every year which may not have data to show.

Therefore, the end result should be the year/month or quarter above and below the customised value headers.

The table is an example of what i'd like, where it has 2021 3 times it would just be one box merged with 2021.

If there is a way to do this please let

Is there a way to have different column values depending on the year selected?

For example, if i select 2020 it will only show the actuals column and no other including the headers. 

But if I select 2021 the column values and headers change to Actuals, forecast and totals.

There is no way to select different column values depending on the year selected. You may consider using three matrix visuals to display three years value separately. Then use bookmarks to hide/show visuals depending on different years.
