Double X axis drill down

Dear Community, 

 

I got a power BI document but I can't get 2 X axis.

 

here is the kind of data model I got and the graph I want.

I got a colum for dates 2014-2020, expense A, Expense B, expense C.

Expense A, B,C are all part of project A. So I want a graph with Project A, B, C ,D and when I drill down I want to see the expenses that are part of project A. 

I made a sketch to illustrate how I want it.

    0xygen27,

    I don’t see the relation between expenses and projects in your data model. Based on your description, I make a test using the following sample table.


    In Power BI Desktop, the closed chart we can create is a clustered column chart or stacked column chart. You can put Date and Project(or Expense) into Axis, then put Expense(or Project) into Legend, this way, when you drill down to next level of X-Axis, you can see all the expenses that are part of each project. For more details, please review the screenshots below.

      Dear Lydia Zhang,

       

      If I just want 2 values on the X axis how can I do that? 

       

      So I want to have an X axis with: 

       

      Years  and Groups(which the expenses belong in) 

       

      So it's like 

      2014 - 2015 -2016 -2017 | 2014-2015-2016 -2017

      Group A                                         Group B

        0xygen27,

        The most closest thing in Power BI Desktop is to right-click on the bar and select "Expand to next level" to drill down and show both year and group in X Axis .
