Does connecting Power BI to SQL Server replicate my database?
Hello to all,
I would like to make a direct connection from Power BI to my SQL server database. I learned from an elder that Power BI will replicate my database. Is this really the case?
Can you clarify "direct connection"?
If you mean 'direct query', the answer is no, powerbi does not replicate the db.
If you use import method of connection, yes, the data is imported
