Does a visual exist to present data in this way?

Dear all,

Would there be a way to use Power BI to present data such as in this picture?

My department is delivering projects that are at various stages, of different sizes, that belong to different portfolios and divisions... so they would all like to visualise the data in this way, but it is the same data source... so I'd like to be able to maintain one dataset, but provide them all with the visual they need...

I've been looking at Power BI visuals but not sure one would fit this requirement...any help is welcome!

Thank you very much

Hi, I don't think there is something exactly like that. My solution would be to create a matrix with the same columns and the same rows. The difference will appear inside de cell, there you can put, for example, the count of tasks in the cell. Add another visual like a table or cards with the name of the task.

Then you can filter by clicking on the count of tasks and check the table with the names.

Regards,

Hi ibarrau,

The problem with a table, is that I see only the name of 1 task, not all the tasks that should be in that cell. I can't seem to find a way to show several tasks in the same cell, and aving the count of tasks in the same cell doesn't really interest me.

Any suggestion?

I have another version of a visual I'd like to produce below:

I would reccomend to import visio files with the Visio Visual, available in the store.

Additionally, you can use the synoptic panel where you can define your own areas from a picture you upload.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your suggestion - although maintaining a Visio doesn't seem like the best options for me, since I want to be able to filter the visual depending on criteria that would be maintained in the dataset.

With regards to the other solution suggested, once again we don't want to upload pictures, but simply maintain the data in Excel but being able to filter in and out which projects are appearing on the visual...

Sorry to say those options are not good for me - I appreciate the response!
