Hi All,
Please could you tell me whether you:
1. use the automatically updating version of power bi (i.e. from Microsoft Store)
2. install a specific monthly version of power bi that you know to be stable and only update when you know a newer stable version is available.
(I ask the question because when I started using power bi 4-6 years ago I occasionally ran into bugs and the advice on this board was always to install a version from a few months ago, so I got in the habit of only updating to a newer month's version that I was confident was stable. It seems our IT department's policy is to use the automatically updating version but I'm concerned that may result in bugs occuring.).
Many thanks for your thoughts,
PW
Hi @PowerWhy
Yes. You have to update power bi to latest version but my advise not to install latest month's version. Sometimes it has many issues that get resolved in next month's version. It is safer to use current month -2 prevous months for power bi updated version.
I hope I have answerd your question.
Please give kudos and accept as solution!
Thanks.
