Hello everyone,
I have created a matrix view within Power BI where I am displaying future years, to show future values and possible forecasting.
I have grouped the years in 'buckets' of five (5) years. I believe the Power BI term is 'bins'.
This works great, and the data is shown correctly. However, a piece of feedback has been to show the years in the 'stratas'.
For example; I have 'bins' of finve (5) years, showing 2024, 2029, 2034, .... The feedback was to show, not just the years, but what years are in each 'bin'. For example; 2024-2028, 2029-2033, 2033-2037 .....
As I am a visual person, and others probably are as well ...
Now: Suggestion w/strata:
2024 2024-2028
2029 2029-2033
2034 2034-2038
Thanks for the help!

Hi @Anonymous ,
Thanks for the reply from lbendlin , please allow me to provide another insight:
You can create a calculated column.
YearRange =
VAR StartYear = [Year]
VAR EndYear = StartYear + 4
RETURN StartYear & "-" & EndYear
If your Current Period does not refer to this, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
Best Regards,
Clara Gong
