Display selected year and prior year from slicer with Years as COLUMNS

Hi community,

Having a little trouble getting the data from the selected Year and prior Year in the slicer.

What i want to do is have a Single select slicer with the year and show the selected year and the prior year in a matrix below (ie: when 2012 is selected 2011 should also show up in the matrix)

(Picture is using AdventureWorks DB)

I got it working when the Years are in the rows but doesnt seem to work when i switch them to Columns which is what the client wants.

Any ideas or comments are more than welcome,
