Display data source file name in power Bi desktop
Hi,
I connected the excel data in power bi.
Now i want to display the file name in power bi desktop using text box or card or anything.
For Example, I use the Employee Master.xlsx. I want to display that name.
Please advice.
Hi, NavaneethaRaju
Steps.
1. Create a folder with the same name for the file, move the file to the folder, and use the folder connector in PowerBI to connect the folder to get the file data
2. Click on Transform Data to go to PowerQuery Editor
3. Remove other columns except for Content column and Name column. Combine files in Content column.
4. Remove several bottom steps untill you see Name column.
5.Remove Content column. Expand Transform File column
6. Show name with a card visual.Hope this helps.
