Display Custom Total Value

Hi All  , need help on the below Please

The below table is a summarized table.. and Total  values are sum/ average of the respective columns.. my client has asked if we alter the Values in Total For Ex: % Planned Total Value should be (Total Complete+Total InProgress)/Total  (1277+69)/1561

Can this customization be done? Please help

Hi @ak77 - you can create custom measures that apply different calculations for the total row versus the individual rows.

create a custom measure for % Planned

 

% Planned Custom =
IF(
HASONEVALUE(FactTable[Title]),
DIVIDE(SUM(FactTable[Planned]), SUM(FactTable[Total])),
DIVIDE(SUM(FactTable[Complete]) + SUM(FactTable[In Progress]), SUM(FactTable[Total]))
)

 

Replace the % Planned column in your table visual with the % Planned Custom measure you created.

 

limitations like you must manually adjust each measure where the total-row calculation differs.It may not support every kind of complex aggregation, but it handles custom totals effectively for cases like this.
