Hi! I've created a Sankey diagram, went to 'get more visuals,' and downloaded the one called 'Sankey chart.' The issue is that there is no option to modify the tooltips, and I need either to remove them or modify them so that the amount does not appear. How could I do this if the visual does not include this option in the menu? Could I achieve this with DAX?
Thanks a lot for your help! 🙂
This is the visual:
This is the tooltip I want to remove, or at least, just remove the 'Sum of import' and leave the rest of the tooltip.
Hi @Gems ,
As far as I know, the Tooltips option does not currently exist in this Sankey Chart visual that you have chosen.
But I think you can change to another Sankey Chart which will provide the Tooltips option.

That's weird. What you can then do is to Change the visual type to another visual type, Turn off the Tool Tip. Then change it back to Sankey Chart.
It would be a great idea, but when clicking on another visual (with the Sankey selected), Power BI just creates a new visual instead, so you can't do that. It's weird, but that's just how this visual is designed. Thanks for the idea anyway!!
That actually works. It's just a workaround. Power BI will change the Sankey to another chart entirely and may also tamper with the set up. But once you are able to turn off the Tool Tip and change the chart back to Sankey, you can correct any issues with the Sankey Setup
It doesn't work. This would work if the visual was one of those preloaded in PBI, but with this specific Sankey visual that you download from 'get more visuals,' what happens when you select another visual (while keeping the Sankey one selected) is that it creates a new one instead of changing it. Thanks a lot for the idea—it would have been great if it worked!
Hi, I believe you can turn off Tool Tips. In the formatting section, click on the "General Section" and you will find Tool Tips toggle, you can put that off.
If this works, kindly mark as solution to make it easier for anyone with similar issues find the solution.
Thank you @ahmedoye , but there's no such option. That's why I'm asking if there's another way to disable or modify the tooltip.
Maybe DAX? or a Mesure?
