Hi, I've got on-premise tabular analysis services solution with RLS implemented.
We are recommending using Direct Query for end users wanting to browse the data through Power BI, but some users are trying to retrieve data using Import mode so they can join multiple sources.
Is there a possibility to disable import mode in Power BI/SSAS or create a whitelist of IPs that are allowed to do this?
Is security put at risk when importing the model - I don't mean sharing this kind of report but removing userprincipalname()/RLS relationships and having an insight to whole model.
Hi,
did you found a way to Disable Import mode for SSAS Tabular?
we just got the same concern here...
thx
@Anonymous , I doubt you can disable that setting at org-wide(import/direct query). But for Ip access control, there should be some setting at the SSAS end.
