Disable 2nd slicer but still show values

Hi All,

I am looking for help/suggestions here...

I have 2 slicers...1. Period Slicer (which have Month/custom period) 2. Date slicer will show Start Date and End Date based on 1st slicer..

What I am looking for is when 1st slicer is selected (values as Month/year) then in the 2nd slicer the slicer should be disabled (non-selectable), but still should show the Dates for the specific selected month in 1st slicer...

When custom period is selected in 1st slicer and then in 2nd slicer It should show Start Date and End Date which will be selectable for end user.

I was able to achieve everything, but except when 1st slicer is (Month/Year) selected 2nd slicer is disabled (not showing values), but what I am looking for is should show values and should be disabled/non-selectable.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Unfortunately I can't share the file, but will check and try.

Below is the screenshot of what is currently happening.

1. When any month is selected.

2. When "Custom Range" is selected

I used calculated to disable second date range slicer when any month is selected:

formula:

IF (SELECTEDVALUE('Date Periods'[Type])="Custom Range",1,0) and used this field as a visual level filter for 2nd slicer.

Hope this helps.
