Directquery for Power Bi dataset nd AS

Hi Team,

 

Even after enabling / tick the checkbox of "direct Query for Power Bi dataset and AS" in preview feature.

I still can't add local model, (example : excel file) to the live connction .pbix file.

 

I restared my PBI desktop after enabling this feature and also checked the tenant settings ( it is turned on by default)

 

What I'm missing here. ?

    Hi vijay273162,

    Did you mean to get data from the power bi dataset connector live mode with an existing excel data model? AFAIK, this feature is required to be turned on on both desktop and power bi service side. You can take a look at the official document if you did not match the prerequisite. 

    In addition, please also check the limitation list if your scenario is not suitable to use this feature:

    Hi,

    I'm using SSRS - 2022 as direct query mode and need to add excel file as import mode.

    How to create composite model ?

     

    1. On Desktop side - Preview checkbox is enabled

    2. On Service side - I'm the PPU license user and not able to see the Tenant Settings option like below snapshot ? to enable this. and hope this will be enabled as default.
