I have a DirectQurey established in a report that is published to a Power BI Workspace. One of the team members with a Demo License reported seeing visuals that were not updating properly. I was able to validate that the data source had updated and viewing the Dashboard using my credentials (Pro License) confirmed I was seeing all records. The user with the Demo account's Dashboard was still not updated.
Is DirectQuery only supported by Pro and above licenses or is there something else that needs to be investigated?
Solved! Go to Solution.
If your workspace is on Premium, then they should be able to view it - in this case, I would reach out to support to find out why.
If however, they are on a free license and you don't have Premium, then your user will need to get at least Pro to view your reports, even if you have Pro yourself. The license types can be a bit confusing, but i found this article helpful in explaining: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/consumer/end-user-license#put-it-all-together
