Direct Query on a merged table

I have connected to google big query using direct query.

I have then merged to tables from big query to make one merged table.

This merged table as a date field.

However, this date field stops updating automatically, even though it is connected via direct query.

I have published this dashboard online, and the date field seems to be stuck:

What could be the reason?

@NabihaF , I doubt you can merge the table in direct query mode. Check the properties or new table under the model tab. It should be in Import mode (refer advance and scroll)
