If you mean the file extension, pbix is the Power BI file, it can be open with Power BI Desktop or import into Power BI Service, but for “pbi”, based on my research, PBI file type is primarily associated with Axialis. You can find more information here: https://filext.com/file-extension/PBI .It is unrelated to pbix file.

But in Power BI, pbi may means power bi service, which is called Power BI sometimes. the online service of Power BI.
