Different data source in one report

Hi

I want to create a report from three different data sources (ClickUp list, Excel, API). Is it possible? Could you provide me with details on how I can do it? Or is there any course or video I can refer to for guidance?

Thank you very much.

Hello Maathir,

you can have many sources as you want. You just click on "Get data" then you select the datasource you want.

Then you create a data model using star schema (you connect the table via relationships).

But if you ask that type of question sounds like you do not know almost nothing about powerbi and datamodeling, if so I can suggest you to look on microsoft learn, youtube, sqlbi, udemy.

Thank you @Gabry   for your prompt reply.

Hi @Maathir  ,

Yes, it is possible to create reports from different data sources in Power BI. You can follow the below steps to solve the problem:

1. You can import data by selecting 'Get Data' in the Power BI Desktop 'Home'.

For Excel files, select Excel; for API data, you can select web or a specific connector. For ClickUp lists, you may need to export the data to a format that Power BI can introduce (such as Excel or CSV) or use ClickUp's API.

2.You can transform and adjust data from different sources in the Power Query editor. The following tutorial is helpful:

3. If data sources share common fields, you can create relationships between them in Power BI Desktop. For more information about creating and managing relationships, see:

Hi, yes, you can try Power BI connectors to ingarate different data sources into one report. Here is an example: https://vidi-corp.com/connect-clickup-to-power-bi-tableau-looker-studio/
