Desktop application crashes after being idle and then trying to publish

The Power Bi desktop application crashes after it has been idle for a while (1/2 hour or so).  I have to kill it with task manager, and then all the login information is lost when I reopen.

Also, upon reopen, you are constantly pestered by a recovery message.  I can dismiss the message, but it comes right back.

Finally, I'm constantly being asked to replace the dataset when publishing, even though it has not been changed.

Hi @BartEdgerton,

Please update your Power BI desktop to latest version.

When a recovery message display, please click it and select remove it. The message appeared because you close the .pbix file through task manager without save.

Best Regards,
Angelia

I already am on the latest version.. Version: 2.55.5010.641 64-bit (February 2018)

Hi @BartEdgerton,

The issue has been reported internally before: CRI 58661945. The fix will be released on desktop March release. See this same thread: http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/Power-BI-Desktop-crashes-when-trying-to-publish-without-signi...

Best Regards,
Angelia
