Hi there,
I'm a starter with PowerBI Desktop and I'm just trying to create a dependency between two slicers. I would like to have one option field, where you can choose one radio button and depending on this decision, you can choose some options in the second data interface, so that the second option is filtered.
It nearly works already... There's just one problem: It's possible to go both ways, but I would like to have it one way, so that you first have to choose the one slicer and after that, you can choose within the second slicer.
Thank you!
Nadine

@nschoepper I don't think it is possible to force selection of one slicer before another. Perhaps you can do something at the data level to make it work such as values on second slicer only display when a particular value is selected on the first slicer. You can also make it obvious by putting text boxes with large fond indicating users to select first slicer before second (not the way you wanted unfortulately). Even if you make them report / page level filters instead of slicers they will still have forward and backward dependency. You can vote for this idea which is closest to what you're trying to achieve.

Thank you! 🙂 I'll implement some text boxes.
