Hello,
It seems that the property DefaultMeasure of an AS cube is not supported in Power BI Desktop.
When I open my cube in Excel, if I drag only one dimension into my table without using measure, I can only see the values associated to my default measure.
In Power BI Desktop (Import Mode or Live Query), I can see all the values of the dimension.
Env : SQL Server 2016, Power BI Desktop from March 2016 to January 2017.
Can someone please confirm this behavior or help me to resolve this problem?
Thanks by advance.
Hi @Christophe_HENG,
As I tested, I am unable to see the values associated to my default measure in Excel and PowerBI desktop.
First I select the data in SSMS, it will display the default value, please see the screenshot below.
In Excel, I select the same field, please see the following screenshot.
Could you please share more details for further analysis.
Best Regards,
Angelia
Hello @v-huizhn-msft,
Sorry for the delay, my customer didn't want to put his data online.
So we contacted the Microsoft support and they told us that the SSAS property "Default Measure" is not supported by Power BI.
Thank you for your help.
Is setting default measure still not possible in power bi dataset?
Excel doesn't join dimension attributes properly unless a measure is added in value list. In cases where all measures are set with aggregation type - None, a dummy measure like countrows of fact table has to be created and dropped in values list of excel pivot table.
Is there any workaround for this?
