In my application, we need to report the number that was recorded to the number of decimal places the user inputted.
The decimal places are being reported correctly in the data view:
But using the data table view, with the columns set to "auto" for number of decimal places to report, I get this:
If I convert the number to text, I can "fix" this, but then on excel import, they are saved as text, not numbers. Also we graph this data, so now I would need to store the numeric and text version.
Any ideas?
You don't have any options here, apart from keeping it at "auto" and hoping that Power BI doesn't butcher the format.
