Date is not working in Filters on report page

I created a KPI with Sales Value of Stock and Date on report page and I am trying to filter the result for a sepcific month (e.g. Sep), it doesn't work.  The value does not change whatever I filter which month (e.g. Aug, Jul....), it only shows the total value.  Please advise, thank you.

What is the relationship between the two tables?

Do they have relationships? What is the direction of the relationship? This issue may caused by the direction of the relationship between the two tables. 

Please provide me with more details about your table and your problem or share me with your pbix file after removing sensitive data.

Thanks but the issue still not yet resolve.  I cannot send you the file and please see the below screen shot and not sure if provieds enough info.

The sales value of stock - I am trying to filter each month's value in the Filters section, but it only shows the total value. If I didn't something wrong in visualizations/filters? Please advise, thank you.

and the date column here is from the same or the joined table with the correct filter direction
