I have a measure that is a date that I want to bring into a table. I have it set to short date format but it still comes into the table as shown below. Do you know how I can get it to show as the short date?

Try this:
See the picture, click on the down carot for the date, and it should have two values, one for the date and one for the date hierarchy. Select the date.
