I'm using power bi connected to an SSAS model. I have a customer with transactions in Dec-2023 and Jan-2024. I have a filter visual, on 'party id,' which allows me to search for specific customers. I can search for the party id I want (1792891291) without problems. Below you can see that when I search for the customer, they appear. The year filter is untouched here.
However, when I filter on date in any way, I suddenly can't search for this customer. They seem to disappear. In the filter section of the report, I can still do advanced filtering, and put 'party id is 1792891291,' but I can't in a filter visual. This happens no matter how I change the date filter. Any changes at all, and this problem begins. The range I'm using always includes the dates that this customer has transactions. Below you can see I'm filtering on year between 2022 and 2025, and suddenly the search isn't returning results.
Below you can see me using the advanced filtering on the side, and the filter works fine here, even with the date being filtered.
Is this a glitch?
Thanks
That would be a question for the cube's data model. Make sure you use the right fields from the right dimensions.
