I have a bar chart using dates. I have dates that are from Dec of 2019 going through July 2020. When I put this into a bar chart it is putting Dec last even though the year when the transactions occured was 2019 which should be first. As you can see in the attached picture it is putting Dec last. It looks like it's not taking into consideration the year.
I have built a date table but still no answer. How do I get the months in order first by year?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You need to add a year to your month.
On your data tab, check that date is set to date Hierarchy, and ensure Month and year are selected.
Hi @WILLIH
You need to know when you click "go next level in hierarchy", it will show month level, so it will sort by month or alphabetically. So I think you could click below button, which will soty by year-month
Or you also could refer to @Anonymous ' s suggestions, create a year column.

Zoe Zhi
