Hi - I'm after some help please on a problem I've been given thats bit beyond what I've done to date. I've been asked to produce a visual that shows supply for projects (and filters for those projects) in stacked bar format across months versus capacity per month (line) so they can select which projects and effectively scenario plan to see how best to level supply to match with capacity if we were to remove supply for certain projects. I can produce this visual when I group supply because I know the total supply for a given month and I know total capacity for a given month so have a bar for supply with a line for capacity, but because the capacity doesnt relate a particular project I'm struggling to see how I would organise my data to get the result required. Its almost as if I need to have a static line graph displaying capacity across months overlayed on top of a dynamic stacked bar chart showing supply across months which will change when I change the filters. I have tried to find some material online and the closest I managed to find was this article https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Merge-Overlay-two-line-charts/m-p/386525 where the red line would be capacity and supply would be the blue or black line that would change depending on the filters albeit with supply in stacked bars rather than the blue or black line...currently my data looks like this
Project Month Measure Days
Jan Capacity 20
Project A Jan Supply 8
Project B Jan Supply 3
so its fine when just use measure, but bringing in project into the mix I get a blank field for capacity and also capacity appears on the legend as well twice
Hi @dv812345 ,
Not very clear.
Could you please provide me with more details about your table and your expected output or share me with your pbix file from your Onedrive for Business after removing sensitive data?
Best Regards,
Eyelyn Qin
