Dataflow refresh error

Hi everyone!
I had an issue last week trying to refresh a dataflow. The refresh is scheduled eight times a day and it stopped working on wednesday morning without sending an error message. I tried to delete and change its content, save it and manually run the refresh but nothing worked. Apparently on friday it began to refresh on its own, at a different time than the programmed schedule.

Has anyone experienced this problem and could succesfully solve it?

Thanks

Hi @mcativelli

Given the behavior you described, here are a few steps and considerations:

  1. Check Refresh History: Review the refresh history in the Power BI service to identify any failed attempts or skipped schedules. This can provide clues on when the issue started and if there were any underlying errors reported. More details on monitoring refreshes can be found here: Data refresh in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

  2. Review Scheduled Refresh Configuration: Ensure that the scheduled refresh times are configured correctly. There might have been changes or issues with the scheduling that could have caused the observed behavior.

  3. Inspect Service Health: Although rare, service interruptions or maintenance activities might impact scheduled operations. It's worth checking the Microsoft Fabric Support and Status | Microsoft Fabric for any reported incidents during the time your refreshes were affected.

Best Regards,

Jayleny

After two months of inactivity, scheduled refresh on your semantic model is paused. A semantic model is considered inactive when no user has visited any dashboard or report built on the semantic model. When scheduled refresh is paused, the semantic model owner is sent an email. The refresh schedule for the semantic model is then displayed as disabled. To resume scheduled refresh, revisit any dashboard or report built on the semantic model.
