Data source settings
A few days ago, my Desktop path was changed to be linked to OneDrive without my request, and since then, my Power BI data source settings suddenly switched to an incorrect path (C:\Users\Public\Documents\Datasets). I restored the original path without OneDrive, but the data still doesn’t appear. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling Power BI, as well as deleting and reloading the data, the problem persists. The issue affects all my reports, both old ones that were working fine and the new ones. What can I do to resolve this?

You should never use data sources from your C:\ drive. Always use the online address of your OneDrive synced folder.
The Power BI service has no idea what "C:\Users\Public" means, and no way to get there. You could theoretically use a Personal Gateway but you will not want to give the Power BI Service access to your C:\ drive anyway.

Your desktop file becomes a Onedrive file, causing Power Query in Power BI desktop to not find the original file.
You need to sign out of Onedrive in your computer:You can then follow the methods provided in the following article to modify your data source to locate your data source to your actual path:
