This morning, I cannot export a data set with just under 17,000 lines. As far as I know, the max is 30,000 lines.
Power BI refuses to export this morning until I reduce the dataset. This is problematic.
Has the max changed? Anybody else with the same issue?
My settings have not changed. This is a report I use regularly, for months.

This morning, it is working like it should. I suspect there was a small update over the weekend.

I saw another thread with the same issue. I believe this is a bug in the Feb release of PBI. I cannot roll back to the Jan version as it is no longer available. Any idea what to do from here on forward other than working around it using PBI Service instead of Desktop?

Morning Jarvis. No, the problem is still with me. I will reply to the posts below now. Sorry. I have been off for three days due to moving house. Only back in the office today.
Hi @hildasteyn
I tried to create your scenario by trying to export a table visual of a Power BI report.
Scenario –1
After clicking on export option it looks like below
(I) Data with current layout – We can only export in excel format with the row limit of 150,000 rows max.
(II) Summarized data
Is it required to be in CSV? If not, you can try exporting the data in excel format which allows you to export the content with more data.
Scenario –2
If you are exporting the dataset (semantic-model), there is option in which you can click on export > Analyze in Excel – Are you using this one?
If your problem, is related to any of the above two scenario, you can provide the below inputs from your end so that we can help you to get the expected result.
(I) What is your license type?
(II) Which method/way are you using to export the dataset?
If you’re running into issues exporting your dataset of 17,000 rows, it might not be due to the row limit but rather other factors.
For example, are there any filters or slicers applied that might be reducing the dataset?
Could you try after clearing the browser cache or try with a different browser?
If the provided solution/troubleshoot methods have addressed your concern, please mark this post as the solution to assist other members who may encounter a similar issue.

The data resides in Dataverse.
I have it all in a table visual.
I use the three dots to select the "Export Data". Normally it says "Working on it" and then opens up the file browser so that I can choose where to save the csv. Now, it still shows "Working on it" for a second or two, and then nothing else happens.
I'm having the same problem. Reports that used to export won't anymore unless I filter the export into smaller parts. It just shows "Working on it" for a second and dissapears.
Exactly as you described it. It shows "Working on it" for a second or two, and then nothing else happens.
You're right—Power BI’s limit for exporting summarized data to Excel has typically been 30,000 rows (for XLSX) and 150,000 rows (for CSV). If it's suddenly blocking you at 17,000 rows, something unusual is happening.
A few things to check:
I am working on Power BI Desktop.
I have a pro license.
I am the admin and made no changes whatsoever.
