Hi,
I have a Power BI report that I pulled the data in using Excel.
However some of the data doesn't seem to have pulled in. Please see below:
I know that the depletion volume should be there as there's numbers in the Excel.
Any idea why power BI didn't pull it in?

Hi @gbarr12345
here are some common reasons why numbers from Excel might not import correctly into Power BI:
Data Type Mismatch: Ensure that the columns in Excel are formatted as numbers. If the column is formatted as text, Power BI might not recognize the values as numbers.
Formulas in Excel: If the cells contain formulas, ensure that the results of these formulas are numeric. Sometimes, the results might be text or errors which Power BI can't interpret as numbers.
Hidden Characters: Sometimes, hidden characters like spaces or non-printable characters in Excel cells can cause issues. Use the TRIM function in Excel to remove any extra spaces.
Regional Settings: Check the regional settings in both Excel and Power BI. Different regional settings might use different decimal and thousand separators.
Column Headers: Ensure that the column headers in Excel are correctly named and do not contain any special characters that might confuse Power BI.
To diagnose the issue, you can:
Check Data Types: Verify the data types in Excel and ensure they match the expected types in Power BI.
Inspect Formulas: Check if any cells with formulas are causing errors or returning non-numeric results.
Use Power Query: In Power BI, use Power Query to inspect the data being imported. You can use it to clean and transform the data before loading it into your model.
