Data format problem

Hello,

I have a problem with the data format. When I tried to import an Excel sheet the format of the column change into text format. I found a topic about a similar problem but the answer don't helped me at all.

How can I resolve this problem?

I actually tried to change the format manually but it's a bit boring to change 100 columns every time.

I have also another problem with this data format which is I want to update automatically my Dashboards but with this data format problem I can't update my Dashboard.

Please help me.

Thank you in advance !

Okay I find the solution.

When I import my file into Power BI there was fused case and multiple title for one column, So Power BI don't understand where the title is and which title he need to choose.

Finally he can't set a format for this column due to multiple format store in.

So, basically to set automatically a format for the columns, you need to pay attention with fused case and multiple title in the table

Hello @elabaigt

Well, there is the detect data type functionality in Power BI. If you disable that, all will be text (options - Current File - Data Load - Type Detection). Are you refering to this as what doesn't work for you?

But, you know you can shift click columns or hold ctrl and click a column to select multiple columns at once to do the change type on, right? There is even a 'Choose columns' function?

Thank you for your reply,

I tried to activate and desactivate this functionnality and both results are the same.

For the second part, I wanted to import data in real time so I think that change the column format isn't appropriate with this parameter
