Hi All,
Here are the steps i did in a sequence and still not able to see the data. Please advice.
1) Using Power BI Service accessed the dashboard.
2) Clicked on the file and downloaded the .pbix file.
3) Opened using the PBI Desktop.
4) Clicked on the datasets, edit query, advanced editor and changed the source ( diffferent excel file with the same column nas, different data though).
5) Can see the data. Clicked on close and apply.
6) In the report when i added the columns i do not see any data, not even the column names.

That's a rather unusual process that you have there.
Anyway, after "Close and Apply" did it go through the refresh of that data source? If not, what happens when you click "Refresh All" ?
